Welcome to Guildford Schools Confederation
Our Vision: to work together to create opportunities for children and young people by developing an enthusiasm for life-long learning
The Guildford Schools Confederation (GSC) comprises a group of 25 schools across Guildford, including Children’s Centres, Special and Short Stay Schools.
The Confederation works for the schools in a variety of different areas, which are agreed upon annually. Our core work enables the schools to work together and share ideas and the latest information, pool resources and benefit from centralised services. Network Groups are held on a regular basis to share and develop best practice across schools – which include Headteachers, Bursars, SENCos and Home School Link Workers.
A comprehensive training programme is organised for teaching and support staff, to ensure value for money and high standards of learning. See our latest Upcoming Events at the side of this page for more details.
We also organise annual Sports Events for Reception up to Year 4 children, with over 1300 children taking part each year.
Transition programmes take place each year for all pupils moving from Primary to Secondary school, with targeted sessions for specific pupils who required additional support. We also commission a Speech & Language Therapist to work across schools providing a top-up service.

We are sad to announce that the Guildford Schools Confederation will be closing at the end of this Academic year. We have loved working with all our schools over many years but financial cuts and budget pressures means we are unable to continue.
So please make the most of our services while you can. The team will be working until the end of the Summer term so please do feel free to contact us with any questions you might have about what will be happening to the services we currently offer.
We are working with our trainers to try and set up a smaller CPD programme for the next academic year – which will be managed directly by our trainers. So watch this space!
Thanks for all your support and we look forward to catching up with many of you before we leave.
