As a nationally accredited trainer with NCSL in delivering Safer Recruitment training, our trainer Sara Alston delivers this as part of the Safer Recruitment Consortium. The Safer Recruitment Consortium have provided quality assured training to ensure that accredited Safer Recruitment trainers are verified and able to access these new materials. Assessment and Accreditation are included in the workshop and a Certificate will be provided on completion endorsed by the Safer Recruitment Consortium.
Aims and Objectives
- Giving participants an awareness and understanding of offender behaviour
- Identifying the key features and processes of staff recruitment to help deter or prevent the appointment of unsuitable people
- Considering policies and practices that minimise opportunities for abuse and would promote its prompt reporting
- Helping participants begin review their organisation’s polices and practices to make them safer by developing a culture of ongoing vigilance
This course is suitable for Governors, Head teachers and staff involved in the recruitment and selection of staff.
Tea / coffee will be provided, however please note participants should bring their own packed lunch.
